albums of august

It has a ring too it, albums of august. So here are a small collection of some of the albums im looking forward to in August.

AlunaGeorge - body talk
Even though released on the 29 of july i didn't do a post in july and this album needs to talked about as it's one hell of a album. properly my favourite of 2013 so far. AlunaGeorge have definitely lived up to the hype that surround them. While you know you like it and your drums, your love have all ready been released there are songs of just as high calibre throughout the album with 1 song that i didn't particular like but the album apart from that is strong with my personal favourites being diver and outlines. Aluna's voice can be at first a bit off putting in its child like quality but after a few listens becomes an addictive and interesting voice to listen to.  8/10

ellie goulding - halycon days
Halycon released last year was and is a favourite album of mine with Ellie's vocal and writing abilities   matured from her debut album of lights. Just with lights Ellie is re- releasing Haylcon with more songs. The new single Burn and the skins featured you my everything which was one of songs of the week. There will also be her cover of Alt-j tessellate. If you haven't already got Halycon i would say to wait and get the deluxe version of Haylcon days as Haylcon itself was dramatic in its production and lyrics.

naughty boy -Hotel cabana
naught boy well know for his role as a producer on a number of songs and has worked with many talented and well know artists. He is now releasing a album of songs including the number one hit lalala with sam smith and wonder with emile sande. Listening to these songs and the new song lifted with emile sande i am eagerly anticipating this album. While every song on the album is a collaboration with another artist there are a number of high profile and brilliant artists on the album including Gabrielle, bastille, ed sheeran, professor green, tinie tempah and ella eyre.

example - hits
After departing ways with ministry of sound, he is now signed to epic records and is working on his fifth album,  there putting together a compilation album of all the hits that he has had with them. All the favourites are on there but only two songs from the evolution o
f man, which i feel was under promoted and just as good as his previous albums. No wonder that elliot has decided to move to epic records.
